Echo: a Prayer App

Let's be honest, it's difficult to remember all of things that we want to pray about. If we don't write down the things we want to pray about or for, they can get lost in the mush between our ears. That's why I use and love an app called Echo. It's a prayer app and it's pretty helpful and simple to use. 

Echo has a minimalistic and pleasant design. When you open the app, there are two options: "Pray Now" or "Add a Prayer". ​

From there, you can add prayers, which become a list within the app. You can give the prayer a title and then put descriptions underneath of the prayer. 

Once you want to start praying, you would select the "Pray Now" button, and it makes each prayer into a flash card of sorts. It shows up on the screen like the photo below that says "Trusting God". You can pray over that prayer and then swipe right for the next prayer.

You're also able to mark if a prayer as been answered or set up a reminder to pray. I used to have my app send me a reminder at 10 am each morning or to even send an email to remind me to pray about something. They have a timer you can use for your prayer time as well.

Echo is an easy and helpful tool to keep track of prayers. It's also helpful for staying focused on a specific prayer while praying. The website says, "Echo exists to help you pray." And it does just that.
